At KV Designs, we are here with you every step of the way on your design journey. Our goal is to make the entire process smooth and stress-free—from the moment you walk into our showroom to the final touches of your installation. We understand that creating a new wardrobe, home office, or kitchen can feel overwhelming, but we are here to guide you and assure you that your project is in capable hands. Your peace of mind is our priority, and we are dedicated to making your transformation a positive and enjoyable experience.
At KV Designs, every project follows a structured six-stage process, with a dedicated project manager assigned to your job from the start. Here is an honest account of what each stage involves.
The Initial Consultation
Your fitted furniture or kitchen journey begins at our KV Designs showroom, where you will meet with one of our designers for an initial consultation. Our focus is entirely on you: how you use your space, the styles you love, and the practical challenges you want to solve—without any sales pressure.
You are welcome to bring initial measurements, photos of your existing room, and any inspiration images you have collected. The more context you can share, the more tailored and useful this first meeting will be. If you are unsure what style you prefer, our showroom is the perfect starting point: we have working displays of both our bespoke fitted wardrobes and German kitchen collections.
Manufacturing and Lead Times
Once your design is signed off, your order enters production.
Lead times vary depending on the range and current manufacturing schedule, but as a guide, you should expect four to fourteen weeks from order to delivery for most bespoke fitted furniture and German kitchen systems. Your project manager will provide a confirmed timeline as soon as production is scheduled.
Design and Specification
Following your initial consultation, our designer will create a detailed design proposal featuring CAD layouts, 3D visuals, a full product specification, and a transparent quotation. This tailored proposal accounts for your space, selected ranges, materials, and any structural requirements.

Most clients refine their design over one or two review rounds.
Our goal isn't to rush decisions, but to ensure you are completely confident in every detail before placing an order. We will walk you through the pricing line by line so there
are no surprises down the road.
Installation
Installation is the main transformation phase, and we prefer to be completely upfront about what to expect. Depending on whether we are fitting a full kitchen, a bedroom suite, or custom living space furniture, disruption varies—a wardrobe installation typically takes just a few days, while a full kitchen project usually spans one to three weeks. For kitchen transformations, we help you plan ahead with advice on setting up a practical temporary setup.
Pre-Installation Survey and Planning
Once your design is confirmed and a deposit is placed, your dedicated project manager will visit your home to conduct a comprehensive technical survey. We measure precise room dimensions, inspect structural details, check utility locations (gas, water, electricity), assess floor levels, and identify any factor that could impact the fit.
This survey is where we identify any works that need to happen before the fitted furniture or kitchen goes in: rewiring, plumbing rerouting, wall removal, or plastering. We will coordinate these with trusted trades or work alongside your own contractors. Getting this stage right is what allows the installation itself to run smoothly.
Handover and Aftercare
Once installation is complete, your project manager will carry out a thorough walkthrough with you before final sign-off. Our relationship doesn't end at handover. A significant portion of our work comes directly through client referrals and returning families across Yorkshire, which speaks to the care and quality we build into every project.
